Our Story

Cecilia comes home one evening, seeing lots of beautiful gifts in front of her doorstep.
She is uninterested in them, she walked straight into her little tree house.
However in the shadow of another tree, Tim is hiding and wants to give the rose, make up of leaves, to Cecelia.
He did not have the courage to do so because he is fear of being rejected.

Tim fell disappointed with himself and flies to a nearby river.
He looks into the river and sees his own ugly reflection.
Suddenly, he hears a loud cry for help and sees this helpless tortoise that is tangled up to the air roots of the mangrove tree.
Just as Tim is about to help the tortoise, he sees his own reflection on the water that reminds him of how others would give him that disgusted look.
There was a mix of emotions within him.
He wanted to save the tortoise yet he was afraid to approach him.

Suddenly Tim’s thoughts diminish as he sees Cecilia landed on the tortoise’s back to help untangle the air-roots.
He is relieved that someone has come to help but also fell disappointed with himself.
Just when he think all are over, he sees a log heading downstream towards Cecilia and the tortoise.
Cecilia is so engrossed in trying to snap the roots that she did not notice the danger is approaching.
Tim is struggling inside of himself, he wants to warn Cecilia but did not has the courage to do so.
Before times run out, he ignores all of his thoughts and rushes to help them.
In the nick of time, both birds manage to free the tortoise. s

Cecilia and Tim fly to the nearest shore to catch their breath.
Tim pants when he sees the rose, which he intends to give Cecilia.
He brings up his courage and presents the rose to her while covering his face with the other wing.
Cecilia then pull down his hand and give him a kiss.
Tim is surprised and he fells as if Cecilia accepts him despite his ugliness.
Tim and Cecilia then take off and fly home under the beautiful sunset.

  1. I have two questions: 1) how are you going to show what he thinks?
    2) how are you going to show his struggle before he rushes to help.

This part here: "Before times run out, he ignores all of his thoughts and rushes to help them.
In the nick of time, both birds manage to free the tortoise. "
    Lacks reaction from Cecilia's side.
What is her reaction to his coming to her rescue?

Does she know the log is coming after he lands on the turtle to help?

  2. 1) We are going to show what he thinks by his actions and expressions. And also cecilia's. For example, just as Tim wants to present his gift, he saw how Cecilia reacts (stuck-up expression) to those gifts at her doorstep. Uninterested, she walks straight into her house. He felt discouraged (look at his gift in his hand, then look back up at Cecilia's doorstep. Look down, slouch forward and walks away).

    2) When tim notices the log approaching, he felt helpless because he didnt know what to do(panick expression). He wanted to help but he didnt have the courage. He was pacing back and forth(Stressed expression with hands pulling his hair/feathers). He sees that the log is getting closer ( CU of his expression thn the log thn Cecilia thn the log again, abit like the scene from The good, the bad and ugly.) He flew beside cecilia and snap the last few root with his beaks. In the nick of time, the tortoise was freed. Tim thn carries Cecilia and quickly took off. Cecilia was shock to see Tim, she had never seen him this up close before. When they landed on shore, cecilia was even more shock to see the log that had missed her by that few seconds.
